Learn how to size the Bimmridder Pink Fightin Phils Infant Bodysuit, dress your baby for a first ballgame, and care for the bodysuit so it lasts all season.

Quick answer

Choose the Bimmridder Pink Fightin Phils Infant Bodysuit by your baby's current weight and length, not by due date or age alone, and pick a size that leaves a little room to grow. For a first ballgame, dress your baby in light layers and bring a backup bodysuit in case of spills.

Why sizing by age alone can miss the mark

Baby sizes vary widely between brands, and two babies the same age can wear different sizes. The Bimmridder Pink Fightin Phils Infant Bodysuit comes in Newborn (NB), 12 months, 18 months, and 24 months, so the jump from NB to 12 months is large. If your baby is between sizes, size up rather than down; a slightly roomy bodysuit is easier to move in and gives you more wear time than one that is already snug.

What to pack for a first ballgame

Stadiums can be sunny, breezy, or cool depending on the time of day, so dress your baby in layers you can remove. A bodysuit works well as a base layer under a light jacket or blanket. Pack a spare bodysuit, extra wipes, and a wet bag for soiled clothes. If the forecast is hot, choose a shaded seat and keep the baby hydrated; if it is cool, add a hat and blanket rather than a bulky coat over the bodysuit.

Care that keeps the pink looking fresh

Wash the bodysuit inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle and tumble dry low or hang dry. Avoid bleach and fabric softener, which can break down fibers and fade the pink colorway. If the bodysuit has a printed team look, turning it inside out before washing helps protect the design. Treat stains promptly by rinsing with cold water before washing.

Step-by-step: size, dress, and care for the bodysuit

Measure before you choose a size: Check your baby's current weight and length against the size options: Newborn (NB), 12 months, 18 months, and 24 months. If your baby is between sizes or near the top of a size range, choose the larger size. A bodysuit that is slightly roomy will last longer than one that fits exactly today.
Do a quick try-on before game day: Have your baby wear the bodysuit for a short time at home to check that the neckline and leg openings are comfortable and not too tight. Make sure you can fit two fingers under the neckline. If the bodysuit leaves red marks or restricts movement, exchange it for a larger size before the game.
Dress in layers for the ballpark: Use the bodysuit as a base layer and add a light jacket, hat, and blanket as needed. Bring a spare bodysuit and a wet bag for changes. Layers let you adjust quickly when the shade moves or the wind picks up.
Wash inside out in cold water: Turn the bodysuit inside out, wash on a gentle cycle with cold water, and tumble dry low or hang dry. Skip bleach and fabric softener. Cold water and low heat help preserve the pink color and the shape of the bodysuit.
