How to Pack a Red Emergency Poncho for Game Day

Quick Answer

Pack your Red Emergency Poncho in a small pouch or pocket so it's easy to grab when rain starts. Fold it tightly to save space and keep it accessible.

How to Pack Your Poncho for Game Day

1. Fold the Poncho Neatly: Lay the poncho flat and fold it in half lengthwise, then fold it in half again. Smooth out any air pockets so it stays flat. Common mistake: stuffing it crumpled into a bag, which wastes space and makes it harder to open quickly. A flat fold takes up less room and unfolds faster.
2. Roll It Tightly: Starting from the folded edge, roll the poncho into a tight cylinder. Keep the roll snug but not so tight that the material strains. Common mistake: rolling too loosely, which lets the poncho expand and take up more space. A tight roll keeps the poncho compact and easy to tuck into a small pocket.
3. Secure and Stash in an Easy-Access Spot: Use a small rubber band or the poncho's own packaging to keep the roll from unrolling. Place it in an outer pocket of your bag or a jacket pocket you can reach without digging. Common mistake: burying it under heavy items, so you have to unpack everything when rain starts. Store it where you can grab it in seconds, not minutes.
